Two classic rail routes operate in Alaska: the Alaska Railroad operating between Anchorage, Seward, and Whittier (to the south) and Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali, and Fairbanks (to the north). The White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad from Skagway offers scheduled passenger transportation between Alaska and Yukon, Canada as well as several sightseeing rail excursions from Skagway. We have outlined several of the most popular itineraries. However, we are happy to provide a customized itinerary to meet your interests and time frames.
